WAI Jewelry was established to celebrate the link of Man to Nature. The goal of each piece is to create a sense of balance between the primitive and the refined, a union of the wild, untamed world and our eternal attempt to master it. By harnessing the techniques of ancient and traditional crafts, components like wood, stone, and silver are combined to produce wearable art.
Every piece is meticulously constructed from start to finish by designer and creator, Carolyn Wells in her studio on the east end of Long Island, New York. Such scenic surroundings provide an endless flow of inspiration and an abundant source of raw material for her work. What began as a hobby of whittling driftwood, transformed to an ever evolving journey of creation. WAI Jewelry is dedicated to offering quality, handmade products that impart an archaic feel, with a modern twist.
